QT construction moves forward

Drive in front of the Lincoln Parish Library near the interstate, and you’ll see the cracking of rock and the tilling of dirt readying another new business location for Ruston: a QuikTrip convenience store and gas station, better known as “QT”.

“QuikTrip is excited to be coming to Ruston and adding to our growing presence in North Louisiana,” Aisha Jefferson-Smith said, who serves as QuikTrip’s Corporate Communications Manager. “Larger than a traditional QT, this location will feature 10 gasoline pumps and will be equipped with an expanded QT Kitchens that offers made fresh-to-order food and drink items, as well as freshly crafted grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, pastries and wraps. We look forward to opening our doors in late fall.”

Planning for a late fall 2023 opening, QuikTrip is expected to be a spacious 8,200 sq. ft., 24-hour remote travel center that will support upwards of 25 new local jobs.

“QuikTrip is going to be a great addition to our community,” City of Ruston economic development director Jade West said. “We are excited they chose to open a facility here in Ruston. That area in front of the library has been vacant for quite some time, and it’s one of the main corridors in our town. QuikTrip locating there will not only fill a vacant lot in our community but also provide convenient access to a gas station for folks in that area of town. We look forward to QuikTrip opening later this fall.”

QuikTrip Corporation is a privately held company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1958, QuikTrip has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 900 stores in 14 states.
