Indecent exposure, vehicle theft suspect arrested 

A Ruston was arrested Saturday for numerous charges after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman and stole a vehicle.  

Andre Jones, 43, was arrested on Fletcher Lane shortly before 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning after a Lincoln Parish deputy sheriff’ located a vehicle that had been stolen from the USA Travel Plaza on West Alabama Avenue.  

Surveillance video allegedly captured Jones stealing a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup from the parking lot. He was turned over to the Ruston Police officers since the theft occurred in the city and he was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.  


On Friday, Ruston Police had answered a call on Peaks Raj Lane regarding a man entering a home and exposing himself to the victim. The man, known only as Andre, had gone to the residence with the victim’s son where she saw him for the first time. Andre walked into the residence without consent and exposed herself to the woman while making obscene comments. The victim said her son had left the home unaware Andre was inside.   

When the investigating officer returned to work Saturday and learned Andre Jones had been arrested for vehicle theft, it was determined he fit the description provided by the victim. Upon questioning, Jones first admitted knowing the victim and then changed his story. He was additionally booked for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and indecent exposure.    

Bail was set at $27,500. Jones is also being held for the Louisiana Department of Corrections—Probation and Parole.
