Cougars, Panthers earn all-district honors

Senior Lawson Lillo earned first team all-District 2-1A honors

Cedar Creek and Lincoln Prep were represented on the All-District 2-1A team as both the Cougars and the Panthers had a number of players earn postseason honors.

Head coach William Parkerson’s Creek team saw 14 players earn first or second team honors while Glen Hall’s Prep team saw six players earn second team spots.

Bryce Martin (OL), Gray Worthey (RB), and James Myers (WR) all earned first team honors on the offensive side of the football for the Cougars, who posted a 4-6 mark on the season and fell in the first round of the Select School Division IV playoffs.

Blake Robinson (DL), Lawson Lillo (LB), Ladd Thompson (DB), and Kade Luker (ATH) all earned first team honors on the defensive side of the football for Creek. 

Creek also boasted seven second team selections, including Brett Johnson (OL), Thompson (QB), Logan Canalas (OL), Alex Simpson (DL), Noah Durrett (LB), Blake Wade (DB) and Connor Rolen (DL).

Lincoln Prep saw four offensive players earn second team all-district honors, including Cenerio Wilson (WR), Joseph Spann (WR), Ryan Randolph (OL) and Jamion James (OL) while one Panther earned accolades on the defensive side in Verlanski Glosson (DB). Joseph Spann (Returner) earned second team honors on the special teams unit.
