Citizen call leads to wanted man

The investigation of a suspicious vehicle at a Lincoln Parish trash dumpster site led to the arrest of a Ruston man wanted in Bossier Parish.

Jonathan Dean Ross, 39, was arrested after a deputy responded to a call of a driver asleep behind the wheel on a private gravel road behind a Harper Bottom Road dumpster site.

Ross told a deputy he had just left his girlfriend’s home up the road and had stopped to dump trash and fell asleep due to a headache. The deputy noted in a report that Ross seemed to be overly nervous considering the situation.

A records check showed Ross was wanted in Bossier Parish on a bench warrant from the 26th Judicial District Court. He was placed under arrest and a clear glass smoking pipe containing a white residue was found in his clothing.

Ross was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and the Bossier Parish warrant and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. He was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.
