The sunny weather Lincoln Parish has seen in recent days appears to be over, with heavy rains in the forecast for the next couple of days at least.
Forecasts from the National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Shreveport predict an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today and that kind of weather is expected to remain through Thursday.
The NWS said that risk of severe storms is low although rainfall could be moderate at times. The office also warned that because of saturated soils from recent rains, some isolated flooding could be possible.
Rainfall amounts through Thursday are predicted to be somehere in the two-inch range.
