Rotary Club of Ruston honored by Lincoln Parish Schools

The Rotary Club of Ruston was named Lincoln Parish School’s Distinguished Partner in Education during last week’s Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet held at the Lincoln Parish Library Events Center.

Linda Wallace accepted the award for the Rotary Club from former Lincoln Parish Schools Superintendent Danny Bell,

The Chamber recognized the Rotary Club for its “Students of the Month” program as well as presenting two annual scholarships, purchasing winter coats for elementary school students through the second grade, donating art supplies to schools and donating $1,000 toward purchasing food for the Lincoln Parish Schools’ “backpack program.”
