Due to the increased presence of West Nile virus in local mosquito populations throughout the City of Ruston, we will be conducting aerial spraying this evening (Saturday, August 21, 2021). Spraying is scheduled to begin between 9:30pm-9:45pm and last for approximately 1 hour.
While aerial spraying will reduce the risk of disease transmission from mosquitoes to people, we encourage you to continue practicing the 4D’s: Drain standing water from your property, Defend yourself by wearing repellent, avoid being outside at Dawn and Dusk, and Dress to protect with long sleeves and pants.
