Soccer

The Lady Techsters were just seconds away from picking up a big win Sunday afternoon but a goal in the 89th minute by Troy led to a 1-1 draw.

GSU took the 1-0 lead in the 36th minute on a goal by Kailey Pena, her second of the season. Following a late penalty by the Lady Tigers, Troy’s Nia Wilson netted the game-tying goal to send the contest into overtime.

Both teams had opportunities in the extra period, but neither team could record the game-winner.

GSU hosts Central Arkansas Friday.
