Ruston continues climb in LSWA ranking

NATCHITOCHES, La. — The newest Louisiana Sports Writers’ Association 5A polls have released, and the Ruston Bearcats (5-1; 1-0 2-5A) are continuing to climb.

After winning their fifth game in a row, Ruston now is ranked seventh overall in 5A, up a spot from last week.

The Bearcats finished off Pineville last week by a final score of 41-0, shutting out their second opponent of the season. The Bearcats will continue district play Friday, Oct. 15, against the Ouachita Lions. It will be the third consecutive road game for Ruston.
