Execution of a search warrant Friday morning by the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Ruston man.
Agents executed the warrant at a Kennon Lane apartment, according to an affidavit filed by Sgt. Jake Watts of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department. Aaron Joshua Moses, the resident of the address, was found inside. The search recovered marijuana and digital scales, baggies, and grinders typically used to prepare marijuana for distribution.
Part of the marijuana was found in the toilet and Moses admitted trying to flush it when officers announced themselves at the door.
Also recovered from the residence was an AR-15 rifle and a pistol.
Moses was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms during commission of a controlled substance felony, possession of controlled substance in a drug-free zone, and obstruction of justice.
The drug-free zone charge relates to the location’s proximity to Louisiana Tech University. The obstruction charge pertains to the attempted destruction of evidence.
Moses was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and remains jail pending $105,000 bail.
