Arrest made in GSU campus shooting

Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting during Grambling State University’s homecoming last month.

According to Louisiana State Police and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ahmed Green, 20, was arrested in Shreveport by state troopers and transferred to Ruston by deputies. Evidence connected Green to the shooting in the early morning hours of Oct. 17 during GSU’s homecoming festivities.

Sources say more arrests are possible as it is suspected others were involved in the incident.

Green was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on charges of first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. Bail has been set at $4 million.

State Police are still working in conjunction with local agencies on the prior GSU campus shooting that occurred on October 14.
