Tech dedicates Aspire

Louisiana Tech University held a dedication ceremony for its newest sculpture, “Aspire,” Wednesday afternoon.

“Aspire” was installed between a new grove of oak trees that were planted between Keeny Hall and the College of Business.

“We started this portion of our 21st Century Campus project with the goal of creating art and intentionally designed landscaping features across campus that would enhance the educational experience and mental and physical health of our students, faculty, staff and anyone who visits this beautiful campus,” Tech President Les Guice wrote in one of his campus updates.

The sculpture was constructed and installed by Portland, Oregon, artist Curtis Pittman as part of Louisiana’s Percent for Art program.
