The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department has announced an arrest in the investigation of a child abuse complaint.
Marian Hotard, 50, of LA Highway 820, Choudrant, surrendered to authorities Wednesday and was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail was set at $40,000.
A release from the Sheriff’s Department stated detectives began investigating a child abuse complaint on December 17 involving a local “at home” day care. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Marian Hotard for one count of felony cruelty to a juvenile.
No other information on the case has been released.
Hotard has apparently bonded out since she no longer appears on the detention center inmate roll.
