A Grambling man was arrested on New Year’s Day after his mother reported a confrontation at her residence.
On Jan. 1, Grambling Police officers responded to a report of a fight at a local residence. They interviewed a woman who said her son, Anthony Bass, 19, of Grambling, and an unidentified man were having a physical confrontation. The other man had left before officers arrived. The victim identified her son as the person who punched her in the face and broke the living room window on Dec. 27 and then fled before officers arrived. He then apparently returned when the victim was away and ransacked the house.
Bass was arrested for domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
Bail was set at $5,000.
