
A Louisiana Tech student was arrested on numerous drug charges Tuesday morning after an investigation by the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (LPNET).
LPNET agents arrested Colton Steve Allen, 18, at Graham Dorm on the Tech campus on two warrants. During the arrest, a search warrant was executed on Allen‘s car on campus leading to the discovery of approximately 68 grams of suspected marijuana, digital scales, multiple plastic baggies commonly used for packaging controlled substances for distribution, and a Glock 9mm pistol.
Allen was transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked on warrants for distribution of a Schedule I controlled substance (marijuana) and violation of the controlled substance Drug Free Zone law. The search led to additional charges of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute (marijuana), illegal carrying of a weapon, violation of the controlled substance Drug Free Zone law, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
