Domestic abuse arrest follows disturbance call

One man is in custody after Lincoln Parish deputies responded to a domestic abuse complaint Saturday.

Deputies responded to a Davidson Road address in Arcadia where a woman reported her husband Victor Goff, 38, had locked himself inside the house with their children. She stated they had gotten into a verbal altercation but that it has never gotten physical. She stated Goff had been drinking all day and after she was locked out of the house, she heard a commotion inside but did not know what happened.

A son stated Goff had “posted up” on him like he wanted to fight and struck him with a closed fist in the shoulder. He also stated Goff was aggressive and started screaming through the house and had struck a younger child.

It was determined Goff was wanted on a probation violation warrant and a failure to appear warrant on a previous domestic abuse battery. He was booked on the two warrants and two counts of domestic abuse battery.
