GPD arrests male on charges of stalking

After midnight on Monday, a woman called the Grambling Police Department in reference to stalking at an address on Humphrey Lane.

Upon arrival, the GPD officer made contact with the female, who stated she observed Alexander Mayfield Jr., 30, of Ruston, in her back yard, looking in the back window of her home. She also told the officer she had observed Mayfield hopping over the fence and going to an older model green truck. She said he then began driving on West Martin Luther Drive.

GPD made contact with Mayfield, who was driving an older model green truck. As the officer told him about the witness complaint, the officer saw a Mossberg shotgun in plain view. Mayfield was transported to the Grambling Police Station and then to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
