School Board President Arrested: https://bit.ly/35ERzpM
Dr. David Gullatt has resigned from his post as president and member of the Lincoln Parish School Board, and a new president should be elected tonight.
Gullatt, 72, of Simsboro, was arrested Friday on charges of obscenity, possession of methamphetamine, and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
The school board will be able to appoint an interim in Gullatt’s place until a permanent individual is placed as president.
The parish school board is currently comprised of 11 members. The next school board meeting will be a special session held tonight at 6 p.m. to elect a new school board president and fill the vacancy for District 3 for the school board.
