A Dubach woman was arrested twice in one evening after repeated complaints she was harassing a Ruston resident.
Ruston Police responded to an East Colorado Avenue address Saturday evening regarding an unwanted guest. The victim stated Sandra Parker, 59, was creating a disturbance and refused to leave. An officer told Parker to leave and if she returned, she would be arrested.
A short time later, officers returned to the residence to find Parker was back on the property. She attempted to walk away, but officers stopped her and placed under arrest. While placing Parker in handcuffs, an officer noticed what appeared to be a smoking pipe in her hand. The pipe contained a residue suspected to be a controlled substance.
Parker was transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and remaining in places after being forbidden (trespassing).
Several hours later, after Parker had been released from detention, police received a call from the victim reporting telephone harassment. The responding officer was told Parker was calling his cellphone and threatening him. The victim reported Parker said, “I’m going to get you” on the phone call.
Parker was located at the nearby E-Z Mart. The call log on her phone indicated Parker had called the victim about 30 minutes earlier. Parker was again arrested and transported to the detention center and booked for improper telecommunications.
