Walmart theft results in arrest

Over the weekend, Ruston Police officers responded to a call at WalMart Super Center in reference to a shoplifter inside the store wearing a blue and orange hoodie and pajama pants.

After receiving identifying details from the caller, the officer found the suspect, Jeremy Hardyway, 26, of Ruston, in WalMart. Hardyway stated that he had stolen socks stashed in his pants. 

The total amount of merchandise was $60.

The RPD officer was also advised that Hardyway had two active warrants, both for theft.

Hardyway was taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked for theft less than $1,000. Bond was set at $10,000.
