A Lincoln Parish woman was arrested Thursday after she phoned in a false report to the 911 emergency number.
Thursday afternoon a deputy was dispatched to Elam Lane just east of Ruston regarding a 911 call reporting a disturbance involving a firearm. The caller said her neighbor was being held at gun point in his front yard near a green Toyota truck.
The responding deputy found two elderly men standing outside near a green Toyota. The two were having a casual conversation and said there was no disturbance. They also say they were aware of the caller’s history of reporting fictitious complaints.
The deputy contacted Nakisha R. Evans, 44, at her residence who stated she saw the two men having a loud argument. Evans stated the argument escalated and one of the men brandish a gun and pointed it at the other. She then talked about her neighbors’ involvement in a “gang ring.”
One of Evans’s family members at the residence said he was outside when she called 911 to report the alleged disturbance. He saw he saw the two men talking but did not witness any type of disturbance.
Evans was arrested for false swearing and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Booking paperwork indicated Even has a history of multiple false reports.
