Two motorists were arrested for drag racing Friday morning after Lincoln Parish deputies clocked them at over 100 miles per hour.
At about 1:00 a.m., Friday morning, deputies clocked two vehicles on radar at 112 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone on LA Hwy 33 near Haddox Road.
Both vehicles were stopped, and the drivers identified as Chandler L. Weir, 22, of Ruston, and Lewis Ann Gallegos, 19, of Shreveport.
Weir admitted they had been drag racing and that he did not have insurance on his vehicle.
Both drivers were arrested for speeding 112/55, drag racing, and reckless operation of a vehicle. Weir was additionally booked for no insurance and open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle.
Detention center records indicated both remained in custody Monday afternoon in lieu of $5,000 bail.
