One arrest in Simsboro domestic call

A Simsboro man was arrested Saturday after Lincoln Parish deputies responded to a domestic call. 

At about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to a Highway 507 residence regarding a domestic battery in progress. The caller stated the suspect, identified as Johnny G. Davis, 23, of Simsboro, had placed a knife to her throat. 

Deputies interviewed the alleged victim, who stated Davis had been holding her captive and beating her for the last five days. The victim had a black eye and a small knot on her forehead. She stated Davis hit her several times but his hands around her neck and held a knife to her throat. She also stated Davis held her two small children in a bedroom as she called 911. 

Deputies interviewed Davis who said things had gotten physical between him and the victim but that he had blacked out and didn’t remember what happened. He was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for domestic abuse battery.
