Violation of protective order leads to arrest

A call regarding an unwanted visitor led to an arrest and charges of violation of a protective order and criminal trespass.

A Ruston Police officer responded to a call from a residence regarding an unwanted guest. Dispatch informed the officer that Alfred B. Gray Sr., 51, of Ruston, was banned from this particular property and the individual at the residence had a permanent protective order against Gray.

The caller told dispatch that Gray had been on the property and went into an adjacent property next door.

RPD located Gray and verified the protective order, which was issued in 2007. Gray had violated the order because he was not supposed to be within 100 yards of the property. Gray admitted he was on the property and was transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
