
Monday evening Ruston Police officers responded to the Dollar General Store at 2800 S. Vienna St. regarding a possible shoplifter. Officers were told Iresha Percy had been in the store but had been banned previously from entering the property.
Lieutenant Thomas Bailey located Percy, 31, of Ruston, walking on Vienna Street and placed her under arrest for entering premises after being forbidden (trespassing). During a search incident to arrest, Bailey found paraphernalia commonly used for smoking illegal narcotics and electric toothbrushes identified as property of Dollar General.
Percy was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for theft by shoplifting, entering premises after being forbidden, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Percy’s probation officer added a charge of probation violation.
