Bulldogs. Tigers. Oh, my.

Louisiana Tech and LSU announced Friday that the two football programs have scheduled a one-game contract for Tech to travel to Baton Rouge during the 2025 season to play at Tiger Stadium.

The two teams will square off on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, with the game time TBA.

Tech will receive a $1.6 million guarantee for the contest.

In addition to adding the game at LSU in 2025, Tech’s home contest against North Carolina State has been moved to 2034.  The Bulldogs were scheduled to host the Wolf Pack at Joe Aillet Stadium but LSU needed the Sept. 6, 2025, date to make the Tech-Tigers game happen.

Tech’s only other game slated so far for 2025 is at Tulsa on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.

The contest between Tech and LSU will be the 21st meeting all-time. The last time Tech ventured to Tiger Stadium was during the 2018 season when the Bulldogs fell behind by three touchdowns before rallying back to cut the LSU lead to 24-21 midway through the fourth quarter.

LSU scored two late TDs to pull out a 38-21 victory.

The 2022 season will kick-off in less than two months as Tech travels to Columbia, Missouri, for a Thursday night showdown with the SEC Tigers. Game time is 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
Sonny Cumbie and Co. will host Stephen F. Austin in the home opener at Joe Aillet Stadium Saturday, Sept. 10.
The remaining 2022 home schedule includes four Conference USA home games with UTEP (Oct. 8), a Homecoming date against Rice (Oct. 22), Middle Tennessee (Nov. 5), and the regular season finale against UAB (Nov. 26).
