Sadie Huenefeld, JJ Hoover, Owen Frick and Camdyn Napper won state championships this past weekend as the Bulldog Aquatic Club made quite the splash in the Louisiana Summer 14-and-under State Championship Swim Meet held at the LSU Natatorium in Baton Rouge.

The foursome combined to total nine state titles.

Head coach Rocky Smith and Company saw numerous competitors record impressive performances led by the four state champions.

“They far exceeded by highest expectations,” said Smith. “All of them swam with heart and showed they were there to race.”

The fastest swimmers in the state ages 14 and under competed in age groups of 10 and under, 11 to 12, and 13 to 14 in a meet that started Thursday and ran through Sunday.

Huenefeld won the state title in the 13-14 Division in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle. She also won the High Point Award in the 13-14 girls division.

Hoover and Napper both picked up a pair of state titles. Hoover won the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly in the 11-12 boys division while Napper claimed the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke in the 13-14 boys division.
