Bulldog Aquatic Club set for senior state meet

Nine members of the Bulldog Aquatics Club will compete at this weekend’s senior state meet in Shreveport.

After watching its younger swimmers dominate during last weekend’s state competition, the older members of the Bulldog Aquatics Club is set to travel to Shreveport for the Louisiana Summer Senior State Championships.

The competition will be held at BHP Billiton YMCA starting today and running through Sunday. It will include the fastest 15-and-over swimmers from around the state with one session set for today and then prelims and finals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Bulldog Aquatics Club saw a total of nine state titles claimed at last week’s 14-and-under meet in Baton Rouge led by Sadie Huenefeld, JJ Hoover, Owen Frick and Camdyn Napper.

Head coach Rocky Smith has nine competitors set for the senior state championship meet.
