Louisiana National Bank announces its newest board member, a successful businesswoman, and active resident of Arcadia, Louisiana, Rita Desai.
With a robust background in the hotel and property management industry, Desai holds the title of President for four property management companies: Trishna Corp Inc, Payal11 LLC, Payal Corp Inc, and TPK Arcadia LLC. She also owns the Days Inn in Arcadia and the Best Western in Minden. Under her leadership, Days Inn (Arcadia) was awarded the Chairman Award. This award recognizes the best hotels going above and beyond Days Inns’ strict standard of excellence.
A familiar face with an obvious presence at local events, Desai’s passion for community involvement expands outside of Louisiana. As a shareholder of Lotus Park Assisted Living Community in Kennesaw, Georgia, Desai’s commitment to the community is evident. Russell Woodard, Chairman of the Board at Louisiana National Bank, expresses “We’re extremely pleased to be adding Mrs. Desai to the board. For years she’s worked very well and closely with our President, Brian Woodard, and our leadership team.”

An active member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHO), Desai leads as a Woman Ambassador. She’s actively involved in Gujarati Samaj of Northwest, Louisiana which is a program designed to promote Indian heritage, culture, and values through recreational, social, and community programs.
When asked what she attributes her success to, Desai responds “Hard work and determination. With that, anything is possible.” She celebrates over 30 years of marriage to Andy Desai, is a proud mother of three children, and is blessed with one granddaughter.
Desai joins Louisiana National Bank’s current board including members Rusty Woodard (Chairman of the Board), Brian Woodard (President/CEO), Honorable John Belton, Trott Hunt, John Hood, Kerry Banks, Mike Polito, and Scott Hill.
