LPSO hosts concealed carry class

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold two concealed carry classes at the Lincoln Parish Law Enforcement Training Center this fall.

The classes will be Sept. 24 and Oct. 29.

The course will cover basic handgun knowledge and Concealed Carry laws. Individuals will not become expert shooters in this class and are expected to have a handgun and be familiar with it before attending the class.

Individuals who wish to participate in this day-long class should be 21 or older and have a handgun, belt, holster, a valid Louisiana driver’s license or ID, eye and hearing protection, a pen and notepad, and 50 rounds of ammo designated for the individual’s handgun.

The cost of the class is $100. Recertification is $50. First-time students should arrive at 8 a.m., and recertification students should arrive at noon.
