
A man and a woman were arrested in separate domestic incidents Sunday.
Ruston Police responded to a Sikes Street residence about 2:15 p.m. after a report of a domestic disturbance in progress.
Officers found Billy A. Brown, 29, and the alleged victim at the residence. The victim had two scratches on the right side of her neck and a red mark on the left side.
Brown made no comments about the incident. He was arrested for domestic abuse battery. Bail amount was not immediately available.
About 8 p.m., Lincoln Parish deputies answered a call from a woman reporting her ex-mother-in-law had assaulted her by grabbing her shirt and striking her in the head with a cellphone. Deputies observed a bruise on the alleged victim’s right arm from the suspect grabbing her.
Patricia Kanavel, 59, was arrested for simple battery and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
