Louisiana Tech head coach Amanda Stone announced Friday the fall portion of their 2022-23 schedule, which includes four tournaments spread out from September to November.

“With our returning roster, we strengthened our fall schedule to test our players,” said Stone.  “We wanted to really jump into this slate and figure out what we need to get better at going into spring.  We are also happy to have our home tournament again this year so that our fans can have an opportunity to see us play.”

LA Tech opens up the fall slate on Sept. 23-25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Tulsa Invitational.  The following weekend, the Lady Techsters head up to Conway, Arkansas to participate in the UCA Invitational.

The team heads south for their next tournament, taking part in the ITA Southern Regionals on Oct. 13-18 that will be hosted by LSU in Baton Rouge.

The fall season closes out at home on Nov. 12-13 with the program hosting their third annual LA Tech Invitational at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.

Coming off an 18-win season, LA Tech returns its entire roster.  Among them are fifth-year seniors Ilana Tetruashvili and Najah Dawson, who led the team in dual singles victories last season with 17 and 14 wins, respectively.

There is also senior Alexia Romero who enters her fourth year with the program, having tallied a 34-13 dual singles record over the course of her collegiate career.

Also returning are juniors Leonie Schuknecht and Ogla Bienzobas who primarily played in the top two positions in the singles lineup last season, each registering 11 wins.

Other key returners are junior Tiffani Nash who joined the squad midway through the spring season, registering a 6-3 record, and sophomore Ana Rodrigues who was part of the No. 1 doubles team with Schuknecht.

Upperclassmen Lara Unkovich and Madison Cefalu are also back for the Lady Techsters as well as the lone newcomer Valentina Vasquez who is a transfer from the University of Missouri.
