Woman with knife arrested

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department arrested a Dubach woman Saturday after responding to a domestic assault in progress on La. Highway 152.

Responding deputies were told the subject involved was suicidal and had a knife. They arrived to find all the involved parties in the front yard.

Zoe H. Kitchell, 23, said she was not suicidal but just upset. Deputies saw multiple red scratch marks on Kitchell’s left arm which she stated she did to herself with a knife.

Kitchell’s grandmother stated she came home mad and exhibited violent behavior. She allegedly threw the grandmother to the ground and a struggle ensued. The victim suffered scratches with fresh blood on her right arm, her right eye lid, and her face. The victim said Kitchell had thrown things about the house and damaged items.

Kitchell was arrested and transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Along the way, she banged her head against the protective cage of the patrol car several times. The Lincoln Parish Coroner‘s Office placed a hold on Kitchell in order to administrator a mental evaluation.
