Man still missing after five weeks

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office continues its search for a missing Ruston man.

38-year-old James Price Tomlinson was last seen just north of Ruston on August 11.

Tomlinson’s family and the Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s help in locating him.

Matt Henderson, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, said Wednesday that several searches and numerous interviews have been conducted with no success in determining Tomlinson’s whereabouts.

According to family members, several ground searches took place in the Pea Ridge area, including one with a search dog from Delta Elite K-9 Search & Rescue.

Tomlinson’s mother, Ginny Otwell Skipper, has mounted an aggressive campaign on social media seeking answers. She said Tomlinson’s wallet, identification, phone, and shoes were left behind.

“James didn’t leave or just walk away,” Skipper told the Lincoln Parish Journal. “I believe that somebody knows something.”

In a social media post, Skipper praised those searching for her son. “I want to thank the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Stephen Williams, all of the sheriff’s deputies, including Deputy Penuell, Fire and Rescue, and all the wonderful people they work with.”

Skipper said Tomlinson is registered with a number of websites featuring missing persons and word of the search has spread to surrounding states.

Tomlinson is 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. He has several tattoos on his torso, including the name “Jack,” a pair of dice, and Sponge Bob.
