A man wanted for alleged narcotics sales was found with more drugs when he was arrested early Wednesday morning.
Lincoln Parish Deputy J. McHenry spotted Richard Russell “Rus” Hogan at a convenience store just after midnight Wednesday morning. McHenry knew Hogan was wanted on arrest warrants arising from an investigation by the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Hogan, 52, of Ruston, was arrested on warrants for distribution of methamphetamine and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Law prohibiting sale within a drug free zone.
During an inventory of Hogan’s truck, two syringes with suspected methamphetamine residue were found in a small box. Also recovered were a large plastic bag containing a large amount of methamphetamine, a pill bottle of methamphetamine, digital scales, and plastic baggies commonly used to package narcotics.
In addition to the LPNET warrants, Hogan was booked for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $110,000.
