
The Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (LPNET) rounded up suspects this week, executing arrest warrants to culminate several ongoing drug trafficking investigations.
LPNET apprehended Larry A. Jones, 64, of Ruston, on a vehicle stop on Water Tank Road. Jones was taken into custody on drug distribution warrants and suspected crack cocaine was found in his pocket. A search of the car discovered two bags of marijuana and hydrocodone and acetaminophen tablets.
Jones was booked for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, obstructed windshield, and two warrants for distribution of cocaine. Bail was set at $150,000.

Deivon Garr, 23, of Ruston, was spotted Monday morning on S. Farmerville Street and arrested by LPNET officers. At the time of the arrest, Garr possessed a small amount of marijuana, a black ski mask, and a kitchen knife.
Garr was booked on two warrants from LPNET investigations for distribution of Schedule II controlled substances, a warrant for failure to appear in Ruston City Court, and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $222,000.

LPNET officers served drug distribution warrants on Michael Glenn Mays at his Union Avenue residence in Ruston Monday morning.
A man encountered at the residence admitted having drug paraphernalia and surrendered a methamphetamine smoking pipe from his pocket.
Timothy Albritton, 43, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $10,000.
Mays, 41, was booked on warrants for distribution of methamphetamine, violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Law—Drug Free Zone, and a bench warrant for failure to appear in drug court on possession of Schedule II controlled substances. Bail was set at $60,000.

Takera S. Brooms, 25, of Ruston, was arrested at her Allen Street residence Monday morning. Brooms was booked on an arrest warrant for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance—alprazolam.
Bail was set at $15,000.

Bruce Pearce, 50, of Ruston, was located by LPNET and arrested in a convenience store parking lot on South Farmerville Street Monday.
Pearce was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for distribution of methamphetamine and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Law—Drug Free Zone. Bail was set at $45,000.

James D. Henderson, 40, was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly presented counterfeit prescriptions at a local pharmacy.
Henderson reportedly filled original prescriptions for hydrocodone and a legend drug at one pharmacy and then attempted to pass copies at another pharmacy. The pharmacist caught the discrepancy and Henderson left the store.
Henderson then went to issuing medical facility stating he had misplaced his prescriptions and needed new ones. He then returned to the pharmacy with the reissued prescriptions where he was arrested.
LPNET booked Henderson at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for attempt to obtain controlled substances by fraud. Bail was set at $15,000.

Kyle Wesley McDaniel, 25, surrendered to LPNET Tuesday morning. He was booked on warrants for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a legend drug (lidocaine). He was also booked on a failure to appear in court warrant for execution of sentence for possession of marijuana.
Bail was set at $20,000.
Other arrests by LPNET are expected this week.
