Basketball season is less than a month away, which means Tech Madness is on the horizon as well.
The hype night featuring the 2022-23 Bulldog and Lady Techster basketball teams is set for Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with admission being free to all fans as this year’s Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will be introduced to the crowd to kick off the 90-minute event.
Also part of Tech Madness will be a three-point contest, dunk contest, skills challenge, and more.
Both programs are coming off Conference USA title game appearances. The Bulldogs, under the direction of new head coach Talvin Hester, return a trio of star juniors in Cobe Williams, Keaston Willis and Isaiah Crawford. The team finished last season with a 24-10 overall record, marking the ninth time in the last 10 seasons with 20+ wins.
The Lady Techsters claimed the C-USA West Division title last season while registering 21 victories, the most wins since 2010-11. Head coach Brooke Stoehr enters her seventh season at the helm and welcomes back All-Conference USA performers in Keiunna Walker and Anna Larr Roberson.
The season tips off for both squads on Monday, Nov. 7 in a home doubleheader. The Lady Techsters will host Central Baptist while the Bulldogs will take on Mississippi College.
Season tickets for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams are on sale now. Fans can visit LATechSports.com/tickets or call the LA Tech Ticket Office at (318) 257-3631.
