Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Holley Duke Stephenson, age 81 of Dubach, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Rock Corner Baptist Church in Dubach with Bro. Danny Howard Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Barbara was born January 23, 1941 to Velma and Boyce Holley in Arcadia, LA, and she passed away on October 15, 2022 in Arcadia. She was salutatorian of her graduating class at Simsboro High School. Barbara attended business school at LA Technical School in Farmerville, LA. She worked for South Central Bell for numerous years, but Barbara was better known as a seamstress in the community for many years and was a seamstress for Lewis and Company. Barbara loved raising her pets Ruthie, Dixie, Joe, and many more beloved animals. Her love for family was very important, and all will miss her. Barbara was an active member of Rock Corner Baptist Church in Dubach and served in the WMU. She was an excellent cook as well. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sister Martell Holley Chandler; husband and the father of her children Thomas Eldridge Duke; husband John Stephenson; and daughter-in-law Mona Ferguson Duke.

Barbara is survived by her three children: Tommy Duke, Kathy Duke and husband Mark Moore, and Keith Duke; two grandchildren Kaitlin Duke and husband Hank Mathis and Bradley Caraway and wife Haley; three great-grandchildren: Harper Caraway, Kaisley Mathis, and Sawyer Caraway; special former in-laws Kathy McKenzie Duke and Darrell Caraway; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Caraway, Darrell Caraway, Jonathan Pye, Durwood Franklin, Jeffery Duke, and Hank Mathis.
