Traffic stop yields marijuana, mushrooms

Grambling police arrested an Arkansas woman Wednesday on drug charges after she was stopped for speeding.

Two GPD officers we’re running radar when they clocked if car traveling at 50 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone on Stadium Drive.

After the vehicle was stopped, an officer saw a clear container on the rear floorboard containing suspected marijuana. The driver was directed to step out of her car and a search was conducted. 

A small amount of marijuana and a larger quantity of mushrooms were located. The quantity of mushrooms was indicative of intent to sell, according to an officer’s affidavit. 

Kaylee S Howard, 28, of Pine Bluff, Ark., was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of marijuana, possession of mushrooms with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding.
