Burglary suspect runs from deputies

Lincoln Parish sheriff’s deputies took a Ruston man into custody Monday after he fled attempts to arrest him in connection with a burglary. 

Monday afternoon deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of S. Vienna St. in Ruston in response to a tip Quintavious R. Graham, 28, was in the area. Graham was wanted by the Sheriff‘s Office in connection with the burglary of a Lincoln Parish residence. 

Deputies were given a description of Graham wearing a red dress and a red wig. Deputy A.J. Hoenke spotted Graham and when back up arrived, Graham fled on foot. Deputies apprehended him on South Trenton Street. 

A search of Graham‘s bag discovered two glass smoking pipes and 18 tablets of  gabapentin. 

Graham was transported to the detention center where he was booked on a warrant for a simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, resisting an officer, possession of a legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Bail was set at $20,000 on the burglary charge. Bail amounts on the other charges was not available at press time.
