Cast announced for RCT’s ‘Elf’ production

Ruston Community Theatre will welcome its favorite friendly elf to Ruston for “Elf: The Musical” Dec. 1-4 at the Dixie Center for the Arts.  

The New Line Cinema film “Elf” took the box office by storm in 2003 and was later revised for Broadway in 2010.  Since then, this show has been performed multiple times around the world during the Christmas season.  Buddy, an orphan, accidently ended up in Santa’s toy sack as an infant and then raised by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Christmas elves.  The story of “Elf” centers around Buddy’s quest to New York City find his birth father.  

Steele Moegle, Ph.D., pianist and associate professor at Louisiana Tech University, is director for this production.

Cast members for the production are Jacob Guillot, Buddy; Lisa Claire Milan, Jovie; Joe Brown, Walter Hobbs; Heather Hampton, Emily Hobbs; Levi Stephenson, Michael; Brooke Belle, Deb; Nathan Richardson, Manager; Mark Graham, Santa Claus and Mr. Greenway; Renee Cook-Cockerham, Mrs.  Claus; Carrick Inabett, Chadwick; Rebekah Heiden, Elf Tiara/Ensemble.  Riley Moegle, Matthews/Ensemble; Cole Morganthall, Elf Charlie/Ensemble; Katie Peters, Charlotte/Ensemble. Joining the cast as members of the Ensemble are Kate Barron, Atta Biscomb, Alex Copes, Lainey Crawford, Gage Doucet, Mabry Doucet, Kaitlin Dugdale, Ella Eagles, Eli Farris, Gabe Garcia, Madelyn Garcia, Mia Graham, Angel Hyacinth, Cheyenne Johnston, Grisham Locke, Scout Luse, Collins Reigelman, Andrew Shirley, Ben Smith, Isabelle St. Amant, and Courtney Wilson.

Members of the crew for “Elf” are Monika Locke, Stage Manager; Lainey and Katie Roberts, Assistant Stage Managers; Robbie Cunningham, Neal Breeding, Joseph Stogner, Jude Hanchey and Conner Gay, Stagehands.  Responsible for the Lighting Design are Mary Watkins and Ashley Palmer, Projections will be conducted by Alma Moegle, and in charge of Sound Design is Brent Gay.  Publicity director for the production is Gabrielle Crockett, Props Manager is MaryBelle Tuten and Mark Graham is Set Designer. 

Tickets will go on sale at rctruston.org on Nov. 10 for season ticket holders and Nov. 17 for general admission.
