GSU homecoming: Need to know info

Grambling State University Athletics is excited to welcome alumni and fans to Homecoming Weekend as the Tigers prepare to take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium.

Below is a complete guide for this weekend’s game, from parking, to tailgating, to tickets. As a reminder, the clear bag policy is in effect for this game… Please click here to see the Clear Bag Policy Information.

With the addition of a couple of tailgating lots, there will be absolutely no drop offs and pickups during Saturday’s Homecoming festivities.

PARKING INFORMATION

  • General Parking on campus is CASH ONLY (Gameday Parking is $25)

ADA SHUTTLE ROUTE SCHEDULE/PICKUP TIMES

Pregame Shuttles will run every 15 minutes [8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.]

Postgame Shuttles will run every 15 minutes [10 minutes after conclusion of game]

  • Tailgating is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

** On game day, you will not be allowed to drop off or pickup any items **

COLLEGE AVENUE/DICKERSON STREET ENTRANCE (TRAVELING FROM I-20)

  • Take Exit 81
  • Follow R.W.E. Jones Drive and pass Dollar General on the left
  • At the next traffic light (Red Light), turn right onto College Avenue
  • Then make a left onto Dickerson Street

  • Pass Campus (football stadium is on the left)
  • At the traffic light (Red Light), turn left

  • Pass the campus (stadium is on the right) and turn right onto Doug Williams Drive at the water tower

GENERAL ADMISSION PARKING

  • General Parking on campus is CASH ONLY (Gameday Parking is $25)
  • There is no re-entry for parking. Once you are inside the parking perimeter, you won’t be able to leave and return

TICKET INFORMATION

Ticket Office Hours
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Friday before home games: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

GATE ENTRANCE INFORMATION

  • Gate 3 is reserved for Grambling State’s player will call
  • Gate 4 is reserved for Grambling State students ONLY**
  • Gate 6 is reserved for visiting team player will call

** Note upon entry into the stadium, GSU students must show a valid ID **
*** If you leave the stadium, you will need to purchase another ticket to re-enter ***

TIGER WALK

  • The Tiger Walk will begin at 10:45 a.m.
  • Grambling State Football Players and Coaches will be dropped off by bus at the corner of Dickerson Street and Cole Street
  • The team will make the walk to Stadium Support
  • Members of the 1992 and 2002 Championship teams will also join the current players during the Tiger Walk
  • Fans are encouraged to line the path of the route

  • Do you want to get to know the coaches, the opponents and the history of the program? The 2022 Football Fact book provides information for the upcoming season. To access the football fact book, click here.

  • The Gameday program is going digital. Fans will still have the opportunity to purchase the program at the game, but fans will now have a chance to see the program through their mobile phones. Click here throughout the season for the program.
