Key bulletin points for Lincoln Parish include:
- Lincoln Parish is now included on the eastern edge of the ENHANCED RISK area
- Timing for the severe weather shows anytime from 10 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. Saturday
- Severe thunderstorms are expected starting this afternoon in east Texas and moving through the Ark-La-Miss later
- Tornadoes and damaging winds are the main threats with hail and flash flooding in some areas of the path of the storm
- There is an increased risk of a few strong tornadoes (EF2) possible initially for east Texas and into the Ark-La-Miss with brief spin-off tornadoes possible in a line area-wide

- Lincoln Parish has been upgraded from yesterday’s MARGINAL RISK to a SLIGHT RISK category for the anticipated Severe Weather.
- Severe weather threat will diminish from west to east after midnight Saturday as the storms move into Central and Eastern Louisiana.
- Timing for Severe Weather & Heavy Rains for North Central Louisiana, Friday evening into early Saturday morning.
- Hopefully this will not interfere with local sports events Friday evening. May not show up here until after midnight (similar to last weekend).

The National Weather Service is calling for the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms for the north Louisiana area Friday evening and into the early morning hours Saturday.
According to the NWS, the forecast includes the potential for:
- Damaging winds, large hail and even tornadoes could be possible
- Widespread thunderstorms and an associated threat for heavy rain and lightning
- Severe weather threat will diminish after midnight Saturday as the storms move through the ArkLaMiss and central Louisiana
According to the most recent bulletin released, Lincoln Parish is in the marginal chance for severe weather and heavy rain.
The forecast specifically calls for a “marginal” chance of:
- damaging winds up to 70 mph that could cause tree and structural damage as well as power outages
- hail up to the size of quarters is possible
- damaging straight line winds possible
People should monitor the weather throughout today and Friday leading up to the evening and night on Friday as the forecast could change.
