Move over, Santa Claus, because Santa Paws is heading out to 290 Rodeo Road this weekend for a howl-iday treat.
4 Paws is hosting a Christmas event from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at its dog park on Rodeo Road. Participants can have pictures taken with Santa, hot cocoa and an ugly sweater contest.
The event, aimed to bring together a community, is also a fundraising opportunity. Currently, 4 Paws is looking for financial donations.
“Right now, we need money,” said Sue Martin, director of 4 Paws, in a previous LPJ interview. “We’re seeking 200 people to give $20 a month. That would give us $2,000 a month, which is what we need. We are sending out letters to former donors and I’m visiting area businesses, looking for corporate sponsors.”
