Running back Lane Thomas and linebacker Quincy Lewis highlighted Cedar Creek’s all-district honorees as the Cougars placed nine players on first team and eight more on second team for District 2-1A.
Thomas, who ran for more than 1,000 yards on the season, was joined on the first team offense by TE Brian Osborne, WR Ladd Thompson, OL Jake Smith and QB Caden Middleton.
Lewis, who ended his Creek career as the school’s all-time tackles leader, was joined on the first team defense by LB Lawson Lillo, DB Carter Hill and DB Austin Webb.
Second team all-conference honorees for the Cougars included WR Connor Norris, OL Nick Thompson, OL Brett Johnson, PK Davis Long, DL Reagan Pike, DB Garrett Garlington, KR/PR Lane Thomas and P Ladd Thompson.
Both DB Jed Stephens and LB Owen Robinson were named honorable mention all-district.
The Cougars posted a 7-5 record and advanced to the second round of the Select School Division IV playoffs before falling to eventual state runner-up Vermilion Catholic.
