Funeral Services for Linda Dianne Bennett Hay, age 73, of Ruston, will be Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Dr. Chris Craig, and Rev. Brad Jones. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Dianne was born on December 22, 1949, to Harrell and Dorothy Bennett, in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on February 20, 2023.
She graduated from West Monroe High School, attended ULM, Northwestern University, and graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a master’s degree. Dianne married John Randolph Hay and they raised their daughter, Hilary in Ruston, LA. She taught for 33 years, with the majority of that spent at Hillcrest Elementary, and would later retire from there. Dianne was a member of First Baptist Church of Ruston.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Harrell and Dorothy Bennett, and her granddaughter, Hayven.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Hay; daughter, Hilary Hay Branch and husband Michael of Choudrant, LA; and grandson, Cayden Branch.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hay, Hilton Hay, George Gillum, Randy Branch, Josh Branch, and Randy Branch II.
