Man allegedly attempts fraud at accident scene

A Ruston man was arrested for attempted insurance fraud after he allegedly attempted to claim injury in a car crash when he was not an occupant of the vehicle.

Ruston Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Barnett Springs Street and U.S. 80. During the investigation, officers learned Kemarion G. Boston, 22, arrived at the accident scene and got into the back seat of one of the crashed vehicles. Witnesses told officers Boston had not been in the accident but got into one of the crashed cars after the accident and then feigned injury.

Boston was arrested and after being advised of his rights, said he was not in the Chrysler at the time of the crash happened.
Bail was set at $1,500.
