Man booked after forcing entry into house

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Wednesday evening after he allegedly broke into a home after being told by a deputy not to return.

Deputies responded to a Pleasant Grove Road residence about 1:00 p.m. Wednesday regarding an unwanted person on the premises. The caller wanted Bobby Lee Koch, 38, removed from the property.

Koch was asked to leave the property at that time and was told if he returned, he would be trespassing.

About four hours later, LPSO received a call from the same residence reporting Koch returned to the property. Koch was found sitting on a bench in the entryway of the residence with shattered glass all around him. The victim stated he was upstairs when he heard a loud bang at the front door. He went downstairs to investigate and found Koch standing on shattered glass in the entryway with the front door. Koch had an aluminum bat in his hand that was apparently used to break the door.

The victim estimated damage repair would cost over $1,000 due to the custom nature of the door.

Koch was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for felony criminal damage to property, home invasion, and criminal trespassing.
