Woman booked in fatal shooting

A Ruston woman is being held on $1 million bail after being charged with second degree murder last week.

Lisa Ann Corbin, 44, of Ruston, was booked for second degree murder on February 26, just hours after the victim was found in Corbin’s house.

Randie Pierce, 75, of Ruston, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest inside a McAllister Street home in southeast Ruston about 9:30 p.m. last Saturday. After emergency treatment at the scene, Pierce was transported to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Corbin was identified as a suspect and was arrested a few hours later. The circumstances leading to the shooting were unavailable.

Corbin remains in custody in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
