A Marion man was arrested Wednesday night by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office for DWI while his license was suspended.
A deputy patrolling on La. Highway 33 saw a Chevrolet Malibu traveling about 35-40 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle was swerving from side to side and crossed the center line into the opposing lane.
When the deputy stopped the car, an odor of alcoholic beverage was detected coming from the driver, Robert Lee Reynolds, Jr., 23. A spilled beer was seen on the passenger side floorboard.
Reynolds performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. A breath test at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 0.162g%, over twice Louisiana’s legal limit.
Reynold was booked for DWI, driving under suspension, improper lane usage, and open container.
